Breakfast - Start your day with breakfast at Besaw's in NW Portland. I recommend the breakfast burrito or one of the many tasty specials that are featured daily. Just look for the little yellow house.
Morning - Burn off those eggs and chorizo with a hike around Forest Park. It's within walking distance of Besaws. It's aptly named. It's literally a forest. Over 5,000 acres of trails and wilderness in the center of the city. Heaven for tree huggers.
Lunch - Nothing says lunch like a few slices of thin crust pizza. Track down your nearest Pizzicato Pizza to handle the urge. There's a few of them across town but I am partial to the one on NW 23rd.
Afternoon - Time to explore one of Portland's most famous places, Powell's Books. It's the world's largest bookstore and after spending a few minutes poking around, you will understand why they hand out maps when you walk in. This place is HUGE!

Breakfast - To start your day off right, head on over to the Bijou Cafe on 132 SW Third Ave. It's a popular breakfast and lunch spot and can sport lengthy waits, especially on the weekends. If you are in a hurry, you can try and grab a seat (or two) at the counter for faster seating.
