Breakfast - Yes, it may sound strange, but I suggest heading straight to the red light district for breakfast. This is only because the area is home to the Bakkerswinkel (Warmoesstraat 69), one of the best bakeries in Amsterdam and a cozy setting in which to start the day. Homemade scones, jam, bread, and a wide selection of teas and coffees will leave you wanting nothing except a second course.
Morning - Head off to the Museumplein and step into the Van Gogh museum to view some of the Dutch artist’s most famous work.
