Debauchery in Las Vegas, Nevada - 24-Hour Travel Guide
Breakfast - OK, the best 24 hours in Vegas begins with a mid-day flight into town and ends with a flight back home the following morning. So your breakfast should be a sausage McMuffin with egg and cheese at the McDonalds in McCarran International Airport on your way home. It's 7 in the morning, you haven't slept, and you've earned it.
Morning - Spend the morning of the day of your trip tying up loose ends at work and letting your wife know that you'll see her the next morning. No distractions on this trip - FOCUS! Wear your "Vegas outfit" on the plane. Stuff a bathing suit and one of those travel toothbrushes in your pockets. That's all you'll need.
Lunch - Hop a flight into town that gets in around mid-day. Your weak friends will have undoubtedly gotten hotel rooms. Join them at the pool, throw on your swimsuit and order yourself a bloody mary and a club sandwich. Every pool restaurant makes a kick-ass club sandwich.
Afternoon - Soak up some rays at the pool. I like the pool/beach at Mandalay Bay (try to convince your friends to get rooms there). They've got a nice spa, too. You haven't lost all of your money at the tables yet, so if you feel like a massage, go for it. Enjoy the scenery but careful not to get too much sun - it can tire you out and slow you down for the evening ahead. Clean yourself up at the pool and ditch your swimsuit (you didn't like it all that much anyway). Hit the blackjack tables with your buddies. Table limits are still low at this time of the day, so you can get your feet wet without losing your shirt. If you've never played craps, learn. The guys running the table are usually very cool about teaching people, especially when things are slow in the afternoon. It's a great game to play with a group of friends. Enjoy the cocktail service.
Dinner - Steak dinner time. Tons to choose from, but I like Delmonico's at the Venetian. Start with a vodka martini, and stay with it throughout dinner. Wine takes up too much room and you get less bang for your buck. You may be spending a ton on dinner, but you need to save some more for the tables.
After Dark - Back to the casino for some action. Table limits are up, but you were ahead this afternoon (congrats!) so you can afford it. Blackjack is the game of choice. Then it's time to hit the club. If you've planned ahead and are willing to spend some dough, you and your buddies have arranged for bottle service at one of the big clubs in town. You have to pay way too much money for a bottle of booze, but you get a table which usually offers a great vantage point and base of operations for the club. There are too many spots to name, but Tryst at the Wynn is pretty cool. (Plus it's right next door to the Venetian - convenient!) Best time to be at the club is from 11 until 2 or 3 in the morning. From there, it's your call. Perhaps a "show" at one of Vegas' many fine establishments that cater to the prurient interest. Maybe its back to the tables if you're still feeling lucky. Ideally, a combination of both. If you want to stick to the club scene, Drai's is an after-hours club at this random casino called the Barbary Coast in the middle of the strip. Don't be thrown off by the surroundings. The club is very cool but usually doesn't get going until very late (or early in the morning, depending on your perspective). Around 6am, head to the airport -- you've got a plane to catch. Enjoy your McMuffin (see above).
Sleep - Make sure you get a window seat on your flight home - better for passing out. Make sure you have taken a cab to the airport wherever you live, since there's a pretty high likelihood that you still won't be legal to get behind the wheel when you land.

I think I'll need 24 hours of sleep after this excursion!
