Overview - Of course, riding in a gondola is romantic. Even more so is just walking the streets in Venice, visiting the art museums, and eating fabulous food.
Breakfast - Start your day with a morning brioche. It's hard to isolate one place in Venice, as Italian brioches are generally lovely everywhere. Just pick one by the water and you'll be happy. For me, there's magic everywhere in Venice, and it starts with the brioche and coffee!
Morning - An oft-missed spot in Venice, the Galleria dell'Accademia (Academy Gallery) is worth a visit. It contains the greatest artworks of Venice from 11th to 18th century, and gives a complete historical perspective on the development of the art form in Venice. A morning is almost not enough, but you will get a feel for the art form.
Lunch - Just for convenience, you might want to eat in the same neighborhood as the gallery. One nice place to try is the Pizzeria al Profeta. You could get one of continue reading ...
