Breakfast - Start your day out at popular Lake Merrit, and grab a bite to eat at Maly Donuts & Burgers located at 114 14th Street (510) 893-3792. Or if you prefer something more simple there is a McDonald's at 1330 Jackson Street. You don’t want to take up a whole lot of time on breakfast because there is lots to do in this area!
Morning - You can spend the morning walking around Lake Merrit. If you choose to, you can walk the permiter following along Lakeshore Blvd. and Bellevue Ave and hit up some fun spots along the way. It may be a bit of a long walk for younger children, however if you brought strollers it can easily be done. As you walk along Bellevue Ave you will come to the Rotary Nature Center, the oldest wildlife refugee in America, located at 600 Bellevue Avenue http://www.oaklandnet.com/parks/facilities/rnc.asp open year round including holidays. Breakfast - Start at the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero for an assortment of good treats. Watch out - you could eat enough here to fill your belly until dinner so resist the urge to gobble down every delight and just get some chilaquiles from the Mexican food stand along with one of their fresh agua frescas. After eating your plate of goodness with an amazing view of the Bay Bridge, continue reading ...

Morning - The Cove/Caves. You can walk down a tunnelt into the cliffs which comes out in caverns on the ocean. Then spend continue reading ...

Breakfast - A great place for breakfast is Clementine. It's in Century City just off Santa Monica Blvd. on Enseley Ave. Great home cooking. Enjoy a wonderful All-American breakfast. They have the best oatmeal. The bakery has delightful Danish and bagels. Can be a little crowded at peak hours, but the food is well worth the sramble.

Breakfast - If it's been snowing all night, it's paramount to get the fresh tracks, so we will not linger over breakfast. Eat something before you leave, or get to the mountain a little early and eat there. If the sky's been dry, and you're facing a sheet of ice on the mountain, a leisurely breakfast is a great idea. Truckee Bagel Company, up the road behind McDonalds (just off I-80 continue reading ...

Breakfast - Sears Fine Foods, at 439 Powell Street, is a San Francisco tradition for their silver dollar pancakes. The restaurant has been there for 70 years so you know they must be doing something right. It's a convenient location for many hotels in San Francisco, less than a block from Union Square. A line can form at peak breakfast times, so get there before 9am if you don't want continue reading ...
